George Tragos\Lou Thesz Hall of Fame in Waterloo, Iowa
I got into Waterloo last night right about 8pm, checked in, took my bags upstairs, found my parking for the vehicle, stopped by the bar and ordered some dinner and brought it to the room and now its 10pm.
I met some friends in the bar while I was waiting on my food.
I plan on doing a video update tomorrow morning from here on the schedule and the things that I am looking forward to this year, so be looking for that.
I do feel a little nostalgic thinking back to 1948 when Pinkie George suggested the six booking offices meet at the Hotel President to discuss forming a cooperative organization that became the NWA.
I'll be writing more about the meeting and some other things while I'm here.
One Thing I Learned Today About Pro Wrestling History
Gus Schoenlein, also known as Americus, wrestled George Hackenschmidt in Baltimore, Maryland on Saturday, March 21st, 1908 and Hackenschmidt failed to throw Americus in fifteen minutes. Hackenschmidt weighed 208 to Americus' 174.
